Roosters Flukin 6-24
« on: June 24, 2013, 07:04:54 PM »
Tom and I finally had our slip back at Atlantic Highlands Marina Sunday after a massive rebuilding in the harbor. The new floating docks are a big improvement for accessibility but they have a long, long way to go, still no water at the slip makes for a very dirty boat.

We fished Monday morning 6-24 staying close to the harbor, as this is the first time out for the Roosters after doing a lot of work on her. We ran into a school of Croakers at the Shrewsbury channel keeping three to take home. They seem to favor Gulp© and put a good fight for a small fish, this is the first time we ever caught them around Sandy Hook.
Made a move to the Ammo Pier where the Roosters failed to start do to our new distributor, repairs made off to the Buglight where ignition failed again. After more adjustment it was off to the Belford channel where we tried for Fluke with a really good tidal current, then back to the harbor with NO keeper Fluke. Pete
