Reel McCoy II 07/20/13 report
« on: July 20, 2013, 03:57:51 PM »
Had my brother, our 12yr old nephew and my son out for a day of pan fishing.  We anchored up at the mouth of the Shrewsbury about 830am and put a chumpot over with a clam chum log inside.  In about 10mins we had our first fat croaker in the box.  We had steady action all morning with croaker, porgy, a blowfish, spot, short fluke and sea bass.  We only kept the largest croakers and I ended up fileting 30 of them.
We had a great time catching well over 100 fish on lite and ultra-lite tackle.  We were back at the dock about 1PM and I only burned 2 gallons of gas.

 t^ hows those croakers taste?
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

I tried them for the first time last week.  I breaded and fried them and they were great.
