Fishing the hook for Fluke
« on: July 18, 2013, 05:38:46 PM »
nosmly..Well after two days of fishing the New York bight without much success I opted to fish the Hook on Wednesday. I got a late start leaving the dock at 8:30 with two friends who can't wake up on time. Started the day with the fleet at the tip of the hook, the first drift was slow and I rode it for miles just catching shorts but was having fun with it. Around noon the heat was sweltering with no breeze and no drift  hhppy so I feed the flies until tide change. Once the current started up we were on our way back to the Hook We managed a measly 4 keepers. Around 4:30 headed back home with a light dinner on board and some well hydrated and and slightly burnt friends...Thanks for reading.. chrz

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
