Flukees 7/24 Evening
« on: July 25, 2013, 04:16:08 PM »
Not much keeping going on the past few trips. Frankly the fluking has sucked for us. Like as in no keeping. Zero. Until last nite.

We went deep to the coldest water we could find. 60 feet reading 77° on the surface. Rky bottom.  We kissed our rigs goodbye on the drop cuz we were sure we'd never see them again.

BAM nice chunky 15" seabass. Didn't see that one coming. BAM nice chunky 22" fluke. He survived a shark attack only to fall to the fluke-struder. His back was missing a v notch about 3" on a side clear thru where somebody said ARRRMPHCHOMP. Fully healed too. BAM another at 19". BAM sunset. BAM go home.

Not sure why Tommy couldn't hookup, it wasn't for lack of tryin'. Guess it was just not his night.

Yes, I can report there actually ARE keeper fluke out there...  Stay Thirsty my friends.

not bad Warren t^
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
