Had today off and all morning to fish. Got down to the boat about 7am and the wind was blowing so I had to ditch my plans to fish outside. Picked up some killies and I was on my way. First stop was the Coast Guard station, not a nibble. Moved over to the knoll where conditions were fine. Made a couple of long drifts picking away at shorts, on the third drift I picked up an 18" keeper and a few more shorts. Moved over by the single stick and I was able to land a 5.25# fish. Tried the swash but only picked up more shorts. Pulled the plug as the winds were starting to slack off. Back at the dock at 1230, a nice way to spend a morning, even it started off like a late September one. Final count 15 shorts, 2 keepers, 2 birds and one dog.
