The weekend will start off with warmer temperatures and higher humidity with chances of showers and thunderstorms, some even strong to severe on Saturday.  By Sunday slightly cooler temperatures, drier air and no rain in the forecast will start a stretch of good weather.  As Captain Carl stated "looks like some great weather is heading our way(sun, mon and tues look awesome!)"  This might be the first time Captain Carl and I have agreed on something weather related :P ovrbt!  High temperatures on Saturday will range from the mid to upper 80's with possibly some 90's inland.  Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 60's with mid 50's across northern areas and higher elevations.  By Sunday, the cold front will bring highs in the low to mid 80's with overnight lows in the mid to upper 60's again with upper 50's across northern areas and higher elevations.  Humid air will continue through Saturday and on Sunday some slightly drier air should make humidity more comfortable.  Water conditions are rated good for all locations all weekend, however with the passage of the a cold front on Friday into Saturday winds could gust to 20 knots and seas could increase to 3-4 feet with some 5 foot waves possible.  By Sunday winds will drop and seas will subside to 2-3 feet.  Water temperatures have decreased by a couple of degrees for most areas.  Rivers and bays are in the mid 70's, inshore and midshore ocean waters are in the low to mid 70's with offshore waters in the mid 70's and surf temperatures in the low to mid 70's.  Surf and beach conditions look good this weekend with likely low risks of rip currents, although a moderate risk is possible on Saturday with some rougher, elevated surf possible.

A cold front will slowly approach from the west and move through the region by early Saturday.  This front will then stall to our south through Monday with a few waves of low pressure possibly moving along the boundary.

Next week will be a very repetitive week, with conditions much like Sunday.  Highs in the upper 70's to low 80's with mid 60's overnight and mid to upper 50's across northern areas and high elevations.  There is a chance of some showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday right now.  Water and beach conditions are looking good too for the week.

The NHC is still watching an area of interest in the southern Caribbean.  We are approaching the peak of the Atlantic Tropics Season and so far things are quiet.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the nice weather!

Good morning!  It looks like a nice weekend, starting out with some nice weather today.  Mostly sunny this morning with some clouds mixed in.  The rain has moved out and it looks like it will stay mostly dry with a low chance of an isolated or scattered shower today.  Clouds will continue to hang around all day and became partly cloudy tonight.  High temperatures will be in the upper 80's with low 80's across southern coastal areas and northern areas.  Overnight lows in the low to upper 60's with low 50's in northern areas and higher elevations.  It is still quite muggy this morning.  The humidity will lessen slightly throughout the day and into tomorrow.

Water conditions are good for all locations with winds and seas diminishing throughout the day. However, you will still have a slight chop with short period wind waves most of the day.  Winds will diminish in the afternoon and become variable across the state.  Raritan Bay will have northwest winds 5-10 knots becoming southwest in the afternoon then west tonight and north after midnight with seas 1 foot or less.  Barnegat Bay will have west-northwest winds around 8 knots becoming west-southwest tonight at 5 knots then northwest after midnight with seas 2 feet this morning subsiding to 1 foot or less tonight.  Delaware Bay will have northwest winds 10-15 knots diminishing to 5-10 knots this afternoon and then southwest at 5 knots tonight changing to south after midnight with seas 2-3 feet subsiding to 1-2 feet tonight.  Inshore ocean waters will have north-northwest winds 8-12 knots becoming northwest winds at 4-6 knots this afternoon with seas 2-3 feet at 6-7 seconds.  Seas heights will be lowest in the afternoon.  Midshore to Offshore waters will have northwest/north-northwest winds 9-14 knots becoming west-northwest at 6-8 knots with seas 3 feet at 6-7 seconds Midshore range and 4-5 feet at 6 seconds Offshore.

Surf and beach conditions look normal with Low Risks of rip currents.  Currently, winds are out of the west-northwest at 5 mph with wave heights around 2-3 feet.  Winds will shift to the northwest around 10 mph and surf conditions will calm down and clean up at around 3 feet with a 3 foot south swell at 7 seconds.  Surf temperatures are in the low 70's.  UV Index is Very High at 9/15.

Have a great Saturday and enjoy the weekend!

A late good morning or good afternoon!  Another nice day today with mostly sun and some clouds mixed in.  Slight chances of showers and thunderstorms tonight, mostly isolated or scattered with POP around 20%.  High temperatures in the low to mid 80's inland with some areas along/on the water in the upper 70's.  Overnight lows in the mid to upper 60's with northern areas and higher elevations seeing upper 50's again.  Humidity is comfortable right now keeping dew points in the mid 60's.  Winds will start out of the north and shift to the south as high pressure moves offshore.  The south wind could bring some more clouds and moist air, raising dew points and humidity this afternoon.

Water conditions are good for all locations today.  Winds will start out of the north today and shift becoming variable before changing to a predominant south wind tonight.  The southerly flow will stick around for a few days before the high moves off out to sea.  Raritan Bay will have north winds around 5 knots becoming south late then increasing to 5-10 knots tonight with seas 1 foot or less.  Barnegat Bay will have east-northeast winds 5-10 knots becoming south late and diminishing to 5 knots tonight with seas 1 foot or less.  Delaware Bay will have east winds 5-10 knots becoming southeast this late then south tonight with seas 1-2 feet.  Inshore ocean waters will have north/northeast winds 5-10 knots becoming south later around 5-10 knots with seas 2-3 feet at 9 seconds.  Midshore to Offshore will have north/northeast/north-northwest winds 5-10 knots shifting to the south/southeast later at around 10 knots with seas 2-3 feet at 9 seconds.

Surf and beach conditions look good with Low Risks of rip currents.  Northeast winds will become southeast around 10 mph and could be variable with normal surf with wave heights around 2 feet with a 2 foot southeast swell at 9 seconds.  Surf temperatures are in the low 70's still.  UV Index is Very High at 9/15.

Have a great Sunday!
