Headed out around 1pm before the rain comes. Plus having another surgery on my wrist Friday so I am expecting to be out a couple weeks. Not so bad till we got around the hook. Stayed close to the beach with not even a robin. Made a nice slow trek, with 3-4 foot waves stacked up, beating us up, out to the false hook. Drift was fast with the wind helping to make it better. First drift was non stop action mostly shorts with 2 keepers. Second drift was even faster as the tide just shifted. Got about 5 shorts and that was it. reset for a third with even less.
Bite turned off. Went here, went there, went every place I could reach and nothing except 1 postage stamp.
Oh well, Better then a skunk.
