8/12
« on: August 12, 2013, 06:24:02 PM »
Went on the Big Mohawk today. Fishing overall was slow, and the fluke were biting funny. Often just hanging/nibbling on the tails, hard to hook. Boat still caught a fair amount of keepers and the pool went 9 lbs. I had 2, one pretty decent at 4 lbs or so. Lost several nice fish mid way up. Chartreuse was best in the morning then Glow after 12.

sometimes I rig a stinger hook about 4" behind the bucktail gets them shortbiters (almost) every time.

I use like 40lb mono so it stands proud away from the BT hook, tip with just about anything...
