Rippin Lip 8/17
« on: August 17, 2013, 07:46:05 PM »
Left the dock around 9am Ran out to an old spot from last year trying to get away from all the weekend warriors. Wish I had some missile launchers to sink some of these idiots. Picked up our first keeper. Headed over to the Ambrose. Got another one mixed in with some shorts. current wast slowing with the tide change and so was the bite. Ran out to the end of the SH channel and picked away at robbins and scates for a little while. Jumped around from here to there and picked up a few more. two nice 22", a 19", and an 18" was the tally for the day. Still trying to get my youngest her first keeper but she is more entertained playing with killies then fishing. The old man once again managed to tangle up every line on the boat, but hey, it's ok, He paid for the gas. Have to say, was a very frustrating day with some of the other boaters. Guys just driving like A-holes.
The secret to catching fish is, to fish, where the fish are.

Nice day out with the family.  My daughter started out playing with the killies, even kept one as a pet.  Now she outfishes me every time we go out.
