Due to low water and high water temperature conditions in some waters, the NJDEP's Division of Fish and Wildlife is rescheduling the Week 2 fall trout stocking schedule. To ensure water conditions are suitable, the stocking is being moved back two days to Thursday and Friday, October 10 and 11. All previously scheduled waters will be stocked with the number of trout previously allotted.
By the conclusion of stocking this week, nearly 20,000 two-year old brook and rainbow trout averaging 14 to 16 inches and weighing 1½ to 2 pounds will be distributed in 17 streams and 15 lakes and ponds statewide.
