9/19 Manasquan Inlet Report
« on: September 20, 2013, 03:23:37 PM »
Went out with friend Steve and his girfriend, Kim. Went back to the Manasquan Ridge where I left the Bonito biting earlier in the week. Conditions were great! Nice calm ocean and beautiful air temps. The surface temp was about 2 degrees cooler though. We trolled clark spoons, feathers, and cedar plugs all around the area without a hit! Moved out to the Mohawk, and East Lumps when we finally got a Bonito. Worked that area some more without any more takers. Moved to the SE Lumps and again nothing. Went back to the Ridge for a short drift before calling it a day. Got one 20" fluke and a handfull of shorts.

It was a nice day to get out.

Fred, fishing the "Kristy Marie" from Manasquan River Club. Channels 16/67/68.
