You will always find the Norma K III and crew from Point Pleasant Beach working a mixed bag and sending anglers home with plenty of fillets. The Norma K has been picking away at ling, cod, and mackerel in good numbers. The Norma K III and crew are always a good bet.
Off shore wreck trips with Captain Howard on the 125ft Jamaica from Brielle has been pulling good numbers of fish over the rails. Sea bass up to 6.5 lbs, jumbo porgies in numbers, ling and cod up to 10lbs most going home with 30 and 40 fish.
NJSaltwaterfisherman.com reported black fishing on the Bandit IV from Indian River, DE has been good all week. Captain Scotty found fish in numbers most of the week from 5 to 12 lbs despite poor weather conditions. The Bandit IV is 77ft long and only takes 25 passengers which are very comfortable with plenty of elbowroom to fish. Local Maureen Klause of Ocean City NJ was fishing the coast of Ocracoke, North Carolina, on Nov. 13 used a mullet to tempt a potential record red drum (Sciaenops ocellatus). Guided by Ernest Doshier and using the 80 lb class line, it took Klause six minutes to land the fish which weighed 44 lb 0 oz.
