Just bought and installed the Elite 7 with the transom mount dual frequency transducer. Easy install, wish they gave you a little more cable on the transducer it just made it to the console of my 21 center. Got a chance to use it Monday. Very user friendly didn't go for the touch screen but the menu's are easy to navigate, only downfall I found was no exit key you have to tap menu/enter not a big deal but an exit function would be nice. The color screen is great with the sonar having many pallete options. Really like the blue background . The downscan is monochrome and gives you incredible bottom shots which can also be overlaid on the color nice option. The gold comes with a navionics SD card which gives you some very good chart upgrades. The one thing I did notice is the chart is SLOW booting and changing screens, not stre if this is because I don't have the external antenna but I'm looking into it. The track line is very visible and you can change colors of different tracks which could be useful! So far I give it an 8 out of 10. Keep you all posted if I find anything else to share. Last but not least I found it very reasonably priced.
