Finally back on the water
« on: September 21, 2013, 06:29:40 PM »
After a full season of problems(thanks to the ethanol) I finally took my boat from the back of Raritian Bay to Belmar today. The ocean was a little choppy up by Sandy Hook an got rough the further we headed south all In all the boat ran great and looking forward to catching a fish for the first time this year.

How did you solve the ethanol issue?  Drain, refill and a stabilizer?

Drained the tanks added fresh fuel three times in each tank about five gallons each time and pumped them out thru the fuel lines using the primer bulb.  It did mess up my high pressure pump fuel pump injectors and a lot of filters. It also clogged up one of my fuel management sensors. Total cost over the two last seasons was 10,000.00

Here is a pic of the fuel after I pumped out the tanks and added fourty gallons that I had to get rid of also before I got clean fuel to the primer bulb.
