10/16 Sandy Hook Stink Job
« on: October 16, 2013, 11:04:28 PM »
Ran a double today...honestly one of the longest days of my life.
Headed out with Dave and the boys from Pa in the morning darkness. Started drifting eels on great marks....only a huge Silver Eel to show...looked at the very angry ocean and decided to run down the beach aways....nothing doing that way...got a call on a good bite so we ran but got there a little late. Stuck it out the rest of the day looking all around but came up empty on 4 solid bites.
Back out with Bob and crew from Monmouth for the afternoon shift. Started on the anchor...again good marks but zilch...bounced around thru dark when we went to the snakes. Nothing doing on them either....not a touch. Totally sucked....strong currents today again.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
