Left the dock in the dark with C&B Joe and Dolla Bill.... ran the beach to Da Rox..... waited out the sun and some bird life... NO FISH... hit the FLEET at the 3 mile line off of Long Branch... what little there was died fast... funny listening to the late arriving fastest head boat on the coast complaining on the radio how all the SMALL boats put the fish down....yea OK.... ran inshore then back off... marked some here some there but no chewers... ran to Mud Buoy to look for the jumbo blues but NO TAKERS.. jigged a porgie and 2 fluke out there...things are tuff when you see the Miss Barnegat Light at the MUD
..... heard of a bite earlier -- a few guys trolling umbrella rigs in SHC and catching.... trolling not for me period.... decided to move inshore again off the Highlands Bridge where weakfish have been steady for some time now and yes they were still there.. Jigged them till were tired off the spikes, kept one at 20 inches.... finally had enough and headed home to Spags n Meat balls
