Lavalete to IBSP
« on: November 08, 2013, 03:25:17 PM »
11/8/13 UPDATED 12;19 PM Heard of a ton of hickory shad being caught again on TZERS, a few more bass on the beach, and we had 2 more keeper bass weighed in. Here's today's weigh-ins so far. Check the videos when you get a chance.
Ralph Lugo 22 1/2 Pound Bass
Karen Mitchell 21 1/4 Pound Bass
Fred Brandt 10 Pound Bass

UPDATED 8:26 AM Spotty and slow this morning so far, but just had a quality fish weighed in. Ralph Lugo of Park Ridge, NJ just landed a 22 pound 8 ounce bass on clams in Seaside Park.

UPDATED 4:37 AM Very windy, but out of the west so no problem. The cold is back which is also good news. Decent bite again yesterday. Mostly in the morning and early afternoon as far as I know. Get out there.

Yesterday's Report: UPDATED 11:21 AM Fourth fish of the day weighed in . Bob Pfeilsticker of Langhorne, PA landed a 16 pound bass at Gillikins on a swimming plug. Seems that the swimmers are starting to produce fish as well now, so it not all just metal. He also landed a few hickory shad, and if you are interested, the bottom is paved with sundials. By the way, Bob was on the beach for all of about 1 hour.

UPDATED 10:32 AM Sorry for the late report, we have been mobbed in the shop all morning. Even with the warmer temps and light southwest wind, the fish are hitting. Had 3 bass weighed in already today:
Kyren Dooley 15 Pound 4 Ounce Bass
Dan Jensen 18 Pound Bass
Bob Thompson 11 Pound Bass

One of our other regulars, Lito S., landed a bunch of short bass and a few bluefish. We also heard of some schoolie bass on clams next to the Funtown Pier. I can't get up there to do a video, but the word is that the water is prime, although still warm.

Its not a blitz but it is promising.  Lets hope the weather(storm) does not screw things up to bad.
