Headed out of Keyport at 7:30 .After we passed the #1 can we set out the umbrella's .Port rod goes off and it's a nice fish .About 35" .Got set up again and continued with our troll .Same rod goes down again .Short .So it went .We even had two shorts on the same rig ,a couple of times .Caught most fish early .Set up with clams and chummed .Nothing ,drifting with eels ,produced a few more shorts .So ,most fish were caught on an out going tide .Read lots of fish on screen .Seems like an early morning out going tide bite .Only one keeper today .
