Tuna Spinning Gear

I am looking at trying to outfit at least two spinning setups for inshore tuna. I would prefer not to spend more than $600/setup.

What are you thoughts on setups that might fit the bill?

 And some sort of protective case for drop damage, like an otter box but for reels.

Fred, check out the Seeker Hercules SHS 60H Spinning or SHS 60XH Spinning rods.  American Made, top qual components.  Although, I don't think they float  :headscra:

 whs  The blank for that rod is one I'm considering building.  Although I will probably cut about 6" to 8" off of it.  Those factory built Hercules look awesome as well.

Another great rod to consider is the Star Plasma. t^
