This week is very unsettled switching between an attempted Spring Pattern and then a Winter Pattern taking over late in the week, with very gusty winds mid to late week as well. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Day will feel like Spring-like with dry conditions, a mix of sun and clouds with more clouds than sun on Monday and temperatures in the mid 40’ to upper 50’s. Tuesday could even see the potential of 60’s inland and across the south. Overnight lows will be in the 20’s and 30’s. Then by Wednesday boundaries and systems will move around, bringing chances of rain and snow, especially on Thursday for northern areas. Temperatures will drop for Wednesday Night and Thursday with highs 20’s and 30’s and lows in the single digits to 20’s as cold air moves in with the cold front. By Thursday Night any precipitation should move out with clear skies into Friday with sunny skies. Friday will see a rebound to more seasonal temperatures into the 40’s again with 30’s overnight. Water conditions will vary by day and location although overall conditions will be good through Wednesday Afternoon when winds will pick up through Friday. Wednesday will see Cautious conditions with Small Craft Advisories and Thursday will have Hazardous Conditions with Gale Warnings likely, especially Offshore. However, conditions looks to improve and clear up for Thursday. Surf and beach conditions will be good except for Wednesday Afternoon through Friday with gusty winds and rough, elevated surf. Winds along the coast will get to 30+ knots with higher gusts and seas to 10 feet offshore. Water temperatures are cold, but slowly warming. Inshore waters are still in the mid to upper 30’s, with some low 40’s. Offshore waters are still in the mid to upper 40’s. UV Index will be mainly Moderate this week with a day of a Low index on Thursday from 1-4/15.
High pressure will push through the region to the south overnight on Sunday and then build across the Southeastern States through Monday. An area of low pressure will move across New England Monday Night, pulling a cold front across the area that will stall to the south. An area of low pressure will move along this boundary and across the area Wednesday into Wednesday Night. High pressure will build to the south of the area Thursday Night into Friday, pushing its way into the area. Another area of low pressure will move to the north Saturday, bringing another cold frontal passage Saturday into Saturday Night.
The weekend looks pretty good right now. Sun with some clouds with highs in the 40’s and 50’s with lows in the 30’s and dry. Water, surf and beach conditions could have some gusty winds Saturday, however SCA’s do not look likely at this time.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!

Water, surf an beach conditions look good. Offshore could have some gustier winds in the afternoon. Otherwise, it looks good with 10-15 knot WSW winds.
