Saturday will bring chances of rain showers during the day and cautious water conditions, but otherwise an uneventful weather weekend. Saturday will bring 30%-50% chances of showers throughout the day, although skies will be mostly sunny and showers will be mainly scattered and passing. Any rain will clear out for the overnight, leading into a dry Sunday. High temperatures will be in the 50’s and 60’s with 30’s and 40’s overnight. Water conditions will be Cautious on Saturday due to gusty winds and higher seas with Small Craft Advisories. Conditions will improve into Sunday. Surf and beach conditions will be ok to cautious on Saturday with some gusty winds, rougher surf and elevated wave heights. Conditions will improve into Sunday with good to ok conditions. Water temperatures have jumped several degrees, mainly in the low to mid 40’s, even some low 50’s in shallower waters. Surf temperatures are in the mid 40’s as well, with offshore waters right around the same. Ocean waters are in the low to mid 40’s, however deeper waters have not warmed as quickly yet, with many 30’s still around. UV Index will be Moderate at 3-5/15.

A warm frontal boundary located from the Ohio Valley to the Mid-Atlantic States will lift north tonight and into the region on Friday. A low pressure system and associated cold front will move into the Eastern Great Lakes Friday night then through our region early Saturday. High pressure will build in behind this system for a majority of the weekend. Another low pressure system will track into the Ohio Valley Monday bringing an associated warm front through the region. A cold front will then move through Monday Night and Tuesday as the low moves northeast into Eastern Canada. High pressure will build back into the region by Thursday.

Next week will start off wet on Monday, clearing out by Tuesday and looking dry for the remainder of the week. Temperatures look to stay in the 40’s to 60’s with overnight lows in the 30’s and 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be good to start Monday, deteriorating later in the day and lasting through Wednesday. Cautious to Hazardous conditions are likely with Small Craft Advisories due to some passing fronts and systems.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading! I will see all of you who are attending the Banquet on Saturday…looking forward to a fun night out with good food and good friends!!
