It looks like a nice Spring Weekend coming up with warmer temperatures and mostly good water conditions. Friday Night will bring chances of rain showers lingering into Saturday and clearing out by the morning/afternoon for the remainder of the weekend. Sun will prevail with a mix of clouds. Highs will be in the 60’s and even 70’s inland with the colder ocean waters keeping the immediate coast 5-10 degrees cooler. Overnight lows will be in the 40’s and 50’s. Inshore water conditions will improve into Saturday with winds and seas below SCA criteria. Sunday will see good conditions with winds increasing in the afternoon and then into the overnight with Small Craft Advisories for Sunday Night into Monday. Offshore waters will be mix, mainly due to seas over 6 feet. Conditions should improve for later Saturday and early Sunday before deteriorating again. Surf and beach conditions will be good to ok, with some rougher, elevated surf on Saturday and then again on Sunday Night with winds picking up on Sunday. Water temperatures are steady in the low to mid 40’s with some upper 40’s and low 50’s in shallower waters. Surf temperatures are in the mid to upper 40’s. UV Index will be High to Moderate at 4-6/15.
A cold front will slowly move southward through the region Friday Afternoon and Night, with a weak surface wave developing and moving along the boundary into early Saturday Morning. High pressure should briefly influence the are the rest of Saturday as the front settles to the south. Into Sunday, the frontal boundary is expected to lift back northward as a warm front. The next system to affect the region will be moving east from The Plains to The Great Lakes later Sunday through Monday and its potent cold front is forecast to cross the region on Tuesday. High pressure will follow this front for Wednesday and Thursday.
Next week will start off with chances of rain on Monday Night and Tuesday. The remainder of the week looks dry with sun and clouds. Temperatures will be in the 50’s and 60’s with overnight lows down into the 30’s then 40’s and 50’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be Cautious on Monday through early Wednesday before improving for the end of the week. Conditions will build with the highest winds and seas on Tuesday.
