Shark River boating question

Hey all, I've got a 14' aluminum deep v haul that I want to drop in from the belmar boat ramp and take into the shark river. The boat has a 15hp outboard. Since I'm new to boating in the river, just wanted to make sure my boat was appropriate for this waterway. We are planning on doing some fishing, which we are used to in this area, just not from my boat. Any info is appreciated, thank you

as far as i remember most of the river is a no wake zone so you should be fine, just point your bow if any idiots think no wake means go slow and plough, theres some good fishin in there

Plenty of boats that size fish the river.

Great! Is their a free or public launch to use or just the one at the belmar marina?

No Free ramps in Belmar, There is the Belmar Municapal ramp and Brys Ramp which you pay for at Macs Bait and Tackle There is alot of great back bay fishing there also not just out front between the bridges

You used to be able to buy ramp tokens at the bait shop but I see Belmar now has a ramp attendant booth at the ramp itself.

Just don't go through any of the bridges when there up. There will be a big boat coming through. The 71 is the toughest  because you can't see around the corner.
