Well I got my first bass on my own boat.
Left the dock 6am from the Atlantic Highlands and there were enough bunker by the Navy Yard to sink a fleet of freighters. Snagged my fill and went to Flynns Knoll and romer shoal to try trolling stretches for the first time. No luck. Set anchor on flynns and through out clam, chunk and a live bunker. Half hour later and a 34 incher swallowed that live bunker and I learned how hard it is to net your own fish. It's even harder to take a selfie. At low tide I tried the stretches again but no luck. I think I need to go to the 25s as the 15s don't seem to get down very deep. In 12 feet of water I was not hitting bottom and I was chugging along pretty good. There were even more bunker off Sandy hook . More than I have ever seen. So one fish was all but enough to make it a memorable day. Looks like week off for some fuel issues.
