5/30 Wounded Warrior Striper Tourney
« on: May 30, 2014, 05:44:20 PM »
Headed out with Bill Walsh and crew for some live line. Made bait at the candy shop and off we went. Little left over heave out of the east on the ride down which flattened out by 9 am with no wind.
Got set up on nice reads but no touches.
Made a move deeper and had 4 nice bass runs but they just wouldnt commit. The blues took over from that point on and need not say more. Made multiple moves to try to dodge them but they were thick...4 or 5 blues would be following the hooked fish to the surface....probably could have free gaffed them if I wanted to.
Out on a double tomorrow in the NE winds and we are going to hit a different area altogether.
Congrats to the winners!
