Pops Soul 1 Bite 1 Kill

Cathy and I headed out of SRI just around noon. With no bunker to be found we hit some lumps and bumps looking for some flatties. I didn't expect much with a southern breeze, but the water temp was up to 66 degrees. At the end of our first drift I pulled up our first keeper fluke for 2014 a nice 21 incher. I tried 2 more drifts over the area with out a sniff. we tried  a few differnt areas from SRI up to Deal. With the drifts getting faster we headed for the inlet and scaled down the bucktails to try a couple of drifts on the tail end of the incoming tide with nothing there. Well we brought home dinner maybe next weekend things will improve a little better.  t^

Nice report skip,   We landed 7 keepers today, 1 24" and 2 just below that off Sandy hook. Incoming tide. Deep in the 70' channel go figure 5hrug.
Only 4 shorts and no junkfish
