Cabin Fever - ready to go!!!
« on: April 09, 2007, 05:39:27 PM »
This is the rig I run on the beach.  It covers everything from fly fishing to a number of poles of varying sizes from 10' - 6'.  The fly rig is a 9' Fenwick blank wrapped by me and I use a WF, 9 WT. line.

I have such cabin fever I am looking for anything to do regarding fishing.

I usually found myself backing in and pointing the back towards the ocean. So I figured because the hatch back opens up to form a roof or shade blocker , plus you can sit off the back as well. It almost seems natural.  At least for me.

Capt. Rod Thanks for the decal with the tinted windows it should show up real good... ;D

Hi again Reel Time.

Here is a closer look at the back as you can see there is plenty of room to sit on either side of the carrier.  Plus it is easier to access all the gear I have stored back there.

good deal, what ever works for you. for me i had a blazer and liked to put the tailgate down for a seat, but couldnt with the rack on the back so i went with front mounted.

now i got a new truck and put a hitch on the front, even though i dont sit on the gate anymore, i upgraded to those foldable chairs.

Sounds good to me... Yeah we have a bunch of folding chairs also but I find that someone in the group winds up sitting there to get out of the sun.  That big back hatch makes for a good sun blocker.  Not to mention that all the tackle is right there as well.  Hoping to go out Sat. if the rain holds up at least for a couple of hours.  We'll see... :P
