A solid weekend of good weather and good water conditions ahead. This weekend will have sun dominating with some clouds mixed in and dry conditions. Highs will be in the 70’s and 80’s with overnight lows in the 60’s with some 50’s across the north. Humidity will be lower, in the low to moderate range. Water conditions look good for all locations both days. Winds will be variable and light to moderate, under 15 knots with seas less than 3 feet around 10 seconds with a southerly flow taking over on Sunday from the northerly flow, as the high moves offshore. A sea/bay breeze may pick up in the afternoons as well. Surf and beach conditions are good with normal conditions and wave heights 1-3 feet with a 1-2 foot swell. Rip Current Risk looks to be Low all weekend. Water temperatures are all in the 70’s. UV Index will be High to Very High at 7-8/15.
High pressure over the Great Lakes tonight will build into the area Friday through Saturday. The center of the high will shift offshore on Sunday and Monday as a weak low pressure system tracks to the south along a stalled front. A cold front will move through the area during Wednesday, then high pressure builds in for Thursday.
Next week is dry to start and end the week with chances of rain and thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s with overnight lows in the 60’s. Water, surf and beach conditions look good to ok. Tuesday through Thursday may see gustier winds and seas building 3-5 feet and 4-6 feet offshore.
The Atlantic Tropics are quiet. The Pacific has several active storms, including two hurricanes tracked to hit Hawaii.
Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
