Sat 8/9...
« on: August 11, 2014, 05:33:01 PM »
So after reading all the other weekend reports I realize how bad I suck!!!!... rgmn

Flat calm beautiful day.  Started out between the channels, out to Scotland, eventually to the Mud.  Couldn't get a frigging thing going!

Drift went from 3 knots to zero, back to 3, then spun in a circle in a weird tide line I came up on.

30 or so shorts (lost count) and 1 lone 22" keeper. Tried it all...BT's, gulp, squid, etc.

Tried to ease the pain by heading in to the nude beach for a drift and a look see. Unfortunately most of the beach goers look like me...and that AINT pretty, trust me.

Finished up at ammo and had our biggest cownose of the year. Had to 6" thick. Released unharmed.

Good talking to Dan on the Reel McCoy..hopefully someday I'll have intel that can help someone!!!  Next chance this coming weekend, if it don't work out, I'm moving on the golf!!!!

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.
