Not the best week this week for weather and water conditions. Rain, showers and thunderstorms are possible all week. Monday Night, Tuesday and Thursday have the greatest chances of rain or thunderstorms. Skies will be a mix of clouds and sun. Highs will be in the 70’s and 80’s with overnight lows from the 50’s to 70’s. Humidity will be moderate to high with higher humidity returning towards the end of the week. Coastal Flooding is possible with the northeasterly flow as well. Minor flooding is possible at high tides through midweek, as wave heights will be 3-5 feet on the Delaware Bay and 5-8 feet on the ocean front. Water conditions are Cautious to Hazardous most of the week, with an occasional borderline day depending on location and time. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday AM will see a northeasterly flow of gusty winds to 30 knots with seas 5-8 feet. Later Wednesday will see winds decrease, but seas could still be high into Thursday and then Friday winds will pick back up with seas following. NWS forecasts are on the higher side and cautious, while BW are coming in on the lower side. Surf and beach conditions will be Hazardous to Cautious as well most of the week, again with northeasterly, gusty winds to 30 knots, rough surf and wave heights pushing 5-8 feet or more. Rip Current Risk will be Moderate to High. Water temperatures are still in the mid to upper 70's for most locations. UV Index will vary from Low to High this week.

High pressure over New England will strengthen as it moves to the Canadian Maritimes Monday Night. Low pressure will be moving slowly northeast from the Coastal Carolinas and passing out to sea, east of the Mid Atlantic Coast Wednesday Night or Thursday. A cold front will cross the area from the Northwest late Thursday or Friday. Strong high pressure over the Plains States on Friday will build into the Northeast for the weekend.

There is another area off of Cape Verde being watched with a 30% chance of tropical development in the next 48 hours. This is something to watch over the next days to weeks.

Saturday could see some lower chances of showers and/or thunderstorms, however there will be a mix of sun and clouds and not a washout by any means. Showers should be early and dependent on when high pressure arrives from the center of the country. Sunday will be dry, again a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with 50’s and 60’s overnight. Not quite Fall-like yet, but working that way. Water, surf and beach conditions are looking good to ok. Both days will see gustier winds around 15 knots with seas 2-3 feet. Sunday will be more borderline than Saturday and Offshore on Saturday will be borderline and Sunday Cautious with winds to 20 knots and seas 4-6 feet.

Have a great week, thanks for reading and sorry for the delay!
