  Hello all,
I plan on going out on Sunday to see if the stripers are in the river. plan i trying to catch a few, Sandy Hook would be my choice, but i love going out of Belford. so any one interested give me a shout out. If not i have no problem going SOLO, ADVANTAGE of buying a single Kayak. (no wife or kids)

So on Sunday, got out at sun-up. Met up with another Member- (from my town) Tomc253. went out of belford, the beach replenishment is done. it is a long walk to the water now....
when we were paddling, peddling. birds all over the place, The birds would show up for a few then disappear. then pop up some where else. Fish finder could not stop going off, bait fish all over, i could have gotten out of my kayak and walked half way across the bay they were so deep and so wide. you could look into the water and see the cocktail blues just thrashing through them. then a little later i was just throwing out some rubber soft baits to see if any bass were around and i could see what looked like the water was bubbling, as it got closer i could look down and see i guess they were spearing. millions of them all over.
Meet up with a bunch of other kayakers out there very nice day on the water. was too hot for bass, but i gave it the kayak try.
tomc253 did manage to catch some fluke (released) snappers.
GREAT TIME ON THE WATER...

Side note there were some guys fishing by the buoys going out of belford, the guy told me they were catching TRIGGER FISH, I told him trigger fish are tropical fish warm water, we don't get them here. I was wrong this guy was catching TRIGGER FISH. WOW  cfzd

Look forward to going out again,
be safe on the water.

Wow, Trigger fish are yummy.   Now I have something to target waiting for the Stripers to show up. It won't be long if the Sandeels are here. chrz
