Tonight marks the official start of Fall and the end of the Summer. Weather will be great this week, but water conditions will be a mix of good, borderline and cautious to hazardous days. The majority of the week looks dry, with sunny skies and a few clouds mixed in. Wednesday could see some more clouds, as could Thursday. Wednesday Night will also have a very low chance of isolated to scattered showers. Otherwise, the week looks nice with highs in the 60’s and 70’s with some crisp, Fall air making an appearance with 30’s and 40’s Monday Night, then 40’s to 60’s for the rest of the week. Humidity will be low to moderate. Water conditions, where to start. Monday has gusty winds up to 30 knots during the day with seas 4-6 feet, Cautious Conditions and Small Craft Advisories. Winds and seas will improve overnight and be good for Tuesday. Wednesday will see winds and seas increase again, through Friday for most locations. Southern Waters and Offshore waters will have the worst conditions, with Cautious to Hazardous Conditions, more for building seas over 8 feet! All areas will see 3-5 and 4-6 foot seas after Tuesday, improving, hopefully for Saturday. Some lingering seas and winds may persist into Saturday Morning. Surf and beach conditions will be mixed as well from good to cautious. Monday winds will be gusty and surf will be rough, with wave heights 4-6 feet and High Risk of Rip Currents. Tuesday winds will be normal and surf returning to normal. Wednesday through Friday could see gustier winds, rougher surf and higher waves at 3-5 feet then 4-8+ feet by Thursday and into Friday before subsiding for the weekend. With higher surf comes High Rip Current Risks. Be careful in surf zones!! Water temperatures are a few degrees warmer with upper 60’s and low 70’s. UV Index will be Moderate to High at 4-6/15.
High pressure will build in behind the cold front that moved through Sunday Night. Low pressure will lift northeast just offshore on Thursday. Another high will build in right behind the low and remain through the end of the week and into the weekend.
Tropics are quiet.
The weekend looks like a continuation of the week for weather. Dry with sunny skies with some clouds, highs in the 60’s and 70’s with overnight lows in the 40’s to 60’s depending on location. Water, surf and beach conditions look much better for the weekend. Saturday could see some remaining seas to 3-5 feet, as well as higher and rougher surf. Otherwise, everything looks good, at this point, for the weekend.
Have a great week, thanks for reading and sorry for the delay!
