Great Bay Stripers 10/30/07
« on: October 30, 2007, 05:37:51 PM »
Got out this morning on a friend's boat and had a pretty good day.  We wound up with a total of six stripers (3 each). My friend caught the biggest of the day which went about 33".

We tried drifting some eels in the inlet but were pestered by tailor blues chopping them in half.  (Although I did manage to snag one of those little suckers.) ;D

BTW, all of the stripes were caught on jigs (bucktails, Fin-S, and Tsunami shads) inside the bay.  No bites on poppers or swimming plugs.

On Thursday, I'm planning on doing some jigging on the Gambler.   It's their first striper jigging trip of the season.  If anyone wants to meet up for this trip, give me a shout!

Good work Bob.  Now if only the bait would come in closer...

Happy Catching
