An unsettled weekend will bring rain and thunderstorms and cautious water conditions. Friday Night into Saturday day will bring chances of rain and thunderstorms with cloudy skies. Clouds will begin decreasing by Saturday Night, clearing out for Sunday. Sunday will be sunny with some clouds, but dry. Fall will make itself known this weekend. Saturday will have highs in the low to mid 70’s with mid 60’s across the north. After the cold front moves through, bringing cooler and drier air, lows for Saturday will be in the low 40’s with upper 30’s across the north. Sunday will have low 60’s with upper 50’s along the coast and overnight lows in the low to mid 40’s inland, low 50’s along the coast and upper 30’s again across the north. Humidity will be moderate and then low after the front passes through. Temperatures even off again throughout next week. Saturday will be breezy. Southern Counties along the Delaware Bay will have chances of some coastal flooding through Friday Night. Water conditions will be cautious to borderline all weekend, with Small Craft Advisories continuing into Saturday. By Sunday winds will settle some, but seas could still be running high. Even bays will feel these effects this weekend. It is a scout it out yourself weekend, if you want to get out. Surf and beach conditions will be ok to good. Winds will be gusty on Saturday and surf will be rough and higher around 3-6 feet settling to 2-4 on Sunday. Rip Current Risk will be High to Moderate. Water temperatures are still in the mid 60’s to low 70’s. Cooler overnight temperatures will start to affect the water and temperatures will drop for next week. UV Index will be Low to High at 0-6/15. UV Index will continue to drop off as the angle of the sun decreases.
High pressure along the East Coast will move offshore on Friday, allowing a cold front to move east through the Great Lakes and Deep South. This cold front will move through the region on Saturday. High pressure then builds in from the Northwest early next week before a cold front moves through midweek. High pressure will build into the region behind the front for the late week.
Next week will start off dry, then rain chances move in for Tuesday and Wednesday, clearing out for Thursday and Friday and hopefully into the weekend. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with lows in the 40’s and 50’s. Water, surf and beach conditions look good for Monday, deteriorating for Tuesday and Wednesday with gusty winds and building seas; Cautious to Hazardous conditions are likely. Conditions will improve on Thursday and Friday, but seas could still run high and some gustier/borderline winds are possible.
