Weather looks good and finally drying out, but water conditions will be mixed. This weekend will be mostly dry with more sun than clouds, as an end to a rainy week begins today. With a passing cold front on Saturday Night, very low chances of showers are possible and mainly across the north. Highs will be in the 60’s with overnight lows in the 40’s and 50’s. Saturday Night and Sunday will be windy and humidity will be low to moderate. Water conditions will be mixed at borderline on Saturday becoming cautious on Saturday Night and for Sunday with Small Craft Advisories. Winds will gust to 25 knots, but seas inshore will remain 2-4 feet. Offshore waters will see 5-7 feet. Surf and beach conditions will be good to ok with gusty winds, rougher surf and wave heights 1-3 and 2-4 feet. Rip Current Risk will be Moderate to High, so watch the water/surf. Water temperatures are down a few degrees, in the upper 50’s to 60’s. UV Index will be Low to Moderate.

The Coastal Low pressure system will track into the Canadian Maritimes later on Friday and Friday Night. High pressure will then build toward the Mid Atlantic Friday Night and on Saturday.  A cold front will then cross the region Saturday Night. High pressure, again, builds across the area later on Sunday through Monday, before shifting offshore on Tuesday. Low pressure across the Plains on Monday, will move up across the Western Great Lakes Tuesday, pulling a warm front to the north of the region later on Monday Night and Tuesday. The associated cold front will then arrive later on Wednesday, followed by high pressure on Thursday.

Next week will looks to be dry with some rain chances moving in midweek. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with lows in the 40’s and 50’s. These temperatures will be a bit above average for this time of year, as another warm front pushes north. Halloween looks good right now and above average temperatures, but I will keep an eye on this for all those interested. Water, surf and beach conditions will continue to be borderline to cautious through Wednesday and not improving until Thursday. Gustier winds and building seas will continue.

There is an area in the Southern Gulf being watched. TS Ana in the Pacific is moving northeast and will get absorbed into the Canadian/West Coast weather pattern.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
