11/29 tog trip.
« on: November 29, 2014, 07:25:42 PM »
Left the house at 04:00 with temp on the truck at 10.
Met up with the all star crew of Kenny, paule, Phill, Jake and PayPal Al in the highlands and jumped on an non sponsor boat. Headed around the tip of the hook to find a flat ocean with no wind and a temp around 30. Everyone one was picking away at shorts and keepers except for one crew member until he remembered he used his new PayPal account to buy some bananas. Once he threw them overboard he became on fire.
We ended up with one short of a 6 man limit.
I received my new custom black fish rod from Phil and as always it's a beauty and it catches fish. It seamed to I was the hot hand on catching the shorts but don't think that was the rod but the guy holding it.
Thanks again Phil.
Turned out to be a good day with some good friends.
Thanks for a good time guys.

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

Nice job guys!  chrz  Was a tough day out there with conditions and no wind. Looks like you were able to put together a nice catch. I was little further south on a boat and picked up 5 for the day...

Nice weather despite the cold...could have used a little more of a breeze yesterday to keep the anchor rope tight...oh well can't have it all

The crew was a blast ( as always )

Good eats on the boat yesterday...Rick brought his famous home made smoked salmon dip !!!  we had some cured meats and cheeses and pepperocini peppers and a bottle of blackberry made its rounds to take the chill off  ;D

Fishing was a steady pick all day...I know Paule was the hot hand pulling his 6 keeps pretty quick..as soon as Al threw the dreaded fruit over the side he got hot and also boated his limit...Me and Rick had similar luck with he shorts...I only boxed up 4 legal fish..not sure what the tally was for Rick, Jake or phil...

All in all you couldn't have asked for a better day, crew or fishing...Good times  chrz

Thanks again Rick for setting everything up  t^
