Never got a chance to go to this myself but it's coming around again if anyone is interested in attending.  I hear they usually have some nice freebies and prizes

I've been to a few of them.  They are a fun way to spend an otherwise boring winter day.   t^

I've been to the last 6 or so. As Bucktail said, a great way to spend a boring winter day.

You can pick up some pointers from the speakers. It is more or less a BS session with the speakers on stage answering leading questions about the way the speakers fish for local species. You may learn some new techniques to use. Don't look for an hour presentation, it is not designed like that but I don't think you will be dissapointed with the program.

Door prizes are usually plentiful. Admission gets you a yearly subcription to the Saltwater Sportsman Magazine, several cleaning products, a spool of line and several other items. Also an opportunity to win a boat, motor and trailer.  t^
