Tagged Fish Sat 20-Dec
« on: December 21, 2014, 08:40:06 AM »
Fished the Tagged Fish Open Boat yesterday with Reel McCoy.  I was a fill in for Dan Jr. as he had to work Saturday.  I was obligated to call Dan “dad” all day so he could still experience the “Father-Son” thing.

Winds:  Light North West
Seas: Calm
Weather: Raw and Chilly, sun never really came out
Fishing: They weren’t suicidal, but the bit.  The bite was scratchy at times and good at time but never suicidal.
Bait: I used whites all day.  Dad tried the greens and I think he caught fish on the too.  They also had Asians and the few hermits if you figure out how to break they shell.

I had three keepers and some short.  Dad was doing good as his rod seemed to be bent a lot more than mine all day. I know he did way better than me with the keepers and shorts.  Nice fish but nothing really huge.

The Capt and Crew on the Tagged Fish as always are great. Thanks again Dan for letting me sub.

Great day fishing with my surrogate son  ;D  I managed to put 5 keepers in the basket but Phil did manage to get the largest tog of the day.  I was especially proud when he landed a slob of a spiny dogfish, a chip off the old block. t^
