A much more settled week with mostly dry conditions and mixed water conditions. Monday and Tuesday will be mostly dry with some low chances of showers, mainly across southern parts of the state. These will be isolated to scattered showers at best. The entire week will see a mix of sun and clouds with more sun towards the middle of the week and clouds building in late on Friday. Winds will pick up midweek, as well. Highs will be in the 30’s and 40’s with lows in the 20’s and 30’s with some teens possible across northern areas. Canadian high pressure will be moving into the US bringing cold, but seasonable air with it. Water conditions will be mostly good, with some borderline to cautious conditions arriving midweek and clearing out for the end of the week. Winds could gust 20-25 knots with building seas, especially across southern and offshore waters. Surf and beach conditions will be good, minus some gusty winds midweek. Water temperatures are a few degrees warmer, into the mid 40’s and low 50’s. UV Index will be Low 0-2/15.
A cold front will continue to move further south of the region on Sunday Night. Then a weak area of low pressure will move along the front that is stalled to the south, on Monday. Cold, High Pressure will move across the region on Tuesday and remain in control through Friday. A low pressure system and a warm front may move towards the area next weekend.
The weekend looks wet and with above average temperatures. Rain is possible both days with highs in the 50’s and lows in the 30’s and 40’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious.
Have a great week and a Happy, Healthy & Safe New Year! That’s a wrap for 2014 and moving on to 2015.
