Fished the Tagged Fish solo on the 1st. The high winds and rough seas never developed as the NOAA called for, what a surprise! Winds were west, south west and moderate. It was below freezing in the AM but sun was out so I wasn’t too cold.
Chad took us to deeper water today and the fished where hungry but you needed to be patient and let them chew a little bit extra. The current was strong, but not ripping. You needed 10oz of lead. Used whiteleggers all day. We had a January boat limit by noon. No Paulie size fish but it looked to me like some nice 5 ~ 7’s came over the rail.
As always Chad and Jay are top notch. Great way to start the New Year.
