The National Weather Service in conjunction with the The US Coast Guard, US Coast Guard Auxiliary, National Safe Boating Council, and US Power Squadrons is promoting a National Safe Boating Week.

NWS National Safe Boating Week

The focus is on big safety issues: Sober Boating, use of life jackets, understanding Weather and Forecasts, and Thunderstorm and Hurricane Safety and Preparedness.

Please feel free to post anything Boating Safety Related here. I am not a boater, but I do know Marine Weather. All of those topics have been covered quite extensively here and next week will bring Hurricane Preparedness Week, as Hurricane Season is less than two weeks away.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. Someone here will have the answer.
