Raritan Bay evening troll 5-28-15

5/28 troll
Thursday after work I met up with Bob S and his son Joe on his 25.6 SeaFox to troll a few areas in the Raritan Bay and outside the hook . Pulled out of Keyport at 4:40pm and the tide was incoming but slacking off. We trolled the mid Bay Area, 11A. Then made a very quick move "45 MPH" to the candlesticks where we picked up a monster bluefish on a purple stretch. Then Outer Romer Shoal we hugged the Ambrose channel north towards the VZ. Hit the holes by West Bank then the Reach jersey side from the 9 up towards the 20.
There was nothing going on, no bunker or birds. We head back around 8:30 to be eaten alive by bugs at the marina while cleaning up the boat.
Overall a very nice evening on the water.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Fishing Sandy Hook and anywhere I can get on a boat.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife sells all of my fishing tackle for what she thinks I paid for it!
