The weekend will be a mix of sun and clouds with some chances of showers and thunderstorms both days. Chances will be higher on Saturday with the increased temperatures and humidity. Some storms could be strong to severe in places on Saturday, as well. Highs on Saturday will be in the 80’s to 90’s with overnight lows in the upper 50’s to 60’s. These temperatures will cool some for Sunday with highs in the 70’s and 80’s, lower humidity and overnight lows in the 60’s. Water conditions will be borderline on Saturday due to elevated seas at 2-4 feet inshore and 3-5 midshore to offshore. Bay and rivers will be good, as winds will be gustier to 15 knots, but not much worse. Conditions will improve on Saturday as well, leaving better conditions for Sunday. Surf and beach conditions will be ok on Saturday, only due to a Moderate to even High Risk of Rip Currents with higher seas on Saturday and then good for Sunday with a Low to Moderate Risk of Rip Currents. Water temperatures have warmed quite a bit into the 60’s and even upper 70’s in shallower waters. UV Index will be Moderate to Very High at 4-9/15.

A weak boundary is located across NE PA and Northern NJ on Friday Morning. This boundary will life northward on Friday as low pressure moves eastward into NY. The low will reach Canada by Saturday, trailing the cold front southward through the area by Saturday Evening as it then stalls and becomes nearly stationary to the south. Multiple disturbances will move eastward along the frontal boundary to the south through most of next week.

The upcoming week will start with rain chances and/or thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday, then dry for the rest of the week. Highs will continue in the 70’s and 80’s with overnight lows in the 60’s. Humidity will not be as high as the last few days, but certainly moderate to high. Water, surf and beach conditions will be borderline to cautious on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. There may be times and pockets of good conditions and they should improve into the end of the week.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
