Jumbo Blues?
« on: August 13, 2015, 06:05:37 PM »
Anyone seeing any or reports of jumbo blues? I'm looking to take a friend out this weekend on a night trip but all I see on the boats I know of are small blues and those mackerel that everyone is catching. Also, would those mackerel be good for our tuna trip if we went for those?

Nope. Only reports I have seen have been 2# blues and 1# macks. Crazy summer.  :headscra:

1# Mackerel make for some great strip and chunk bait. I've also vacuum sealed some whole after soaking them in and icy brine with baking soda added, its supposed to help them retain color better, then caught Shark with them the next year.
I've spent most of my life fishing, the rest I've just wasted     <'((((><
