Sad..  But seen a guy go off the beach yesterday in 5-6 foot seas with no PDF.   Crazy.   It should be mandatory.  It is for a personal water craft...

Absolutely should be a common sense thing. It is just a shame for a young person to loose there life over a bad decision that could have been avoided with a simple device. :headscra:

When i did hear about this tragedy i instantly started to send out messages to all my Kayak friends.

i am happy it is not someone that i know in my Kayak community.  but very sadden about to hear how this life was taken and could or better yet should not have been taken if they had just wore there PFD.

I agree with what everyone states that if you go on the water it should be a law to have a PFD.

I feel sorry for this young mans Family. but lets not insult to injury and call him names, think of his family and friends that could possibly read the comments.

BE SAFE PFD...

I thought it was mandatory for kayakers to wear pfd? I rarely see any knuckleheads not wear them in kayaks. Even in Florida where they ride motorcycles in shorts, flip flops and no shirts. Lol

Like the man said lets not call names here, this young mans family is hurting enough, and he paid with his life. None of us is perfect and I'm sure we have all done foolish things in our lives. Fortuitously I for one have survived.

Where's the name calling?

It was just a general comment Edie. Anyway that is how I took it,from Dalejam post. Just was agreeing with it. Wasn't trying to ruffle and feathers. ;)
