From NJBBA Vice President Paul Novello
" The work on the North Jetty at Barnegat Inlet has started. The contractor has delineated their work and laydown area with construction fencing. Due to the nature of the site and the area that the contractor needs to perform their work, the fence goes up to the dunes, therefore there is no access to the jetty. It is crucial that all of those who use IBSP follow the requests of the USACOE, the Contractor and IBSP, and stay out of the fenced area and stay off the jetty during the construction period. If these requests are ignored, we may be denied access south of area 23. Please heed these requests, stay out of the fenced area and stay off the jetty, and please spread the word."
The park administration has made it very clear that anyone who trespasses in the work area will be issued a summons. There will be NO warnings issued.
