Cath and I rolled onto our first drift around 11 am
. With not much signs of bottom life we moved north off Asbury Park, first time this year we found some 70 degree water temps. I think we had more current then a wind drift but I'm not complaining finding some quality fish on my marks. And as my mentor Capt Joe Gogan preached to "STAY AWAY FROM THE FLEET!" Well today all the boats passed by! As we made our drifts with no boats around we boxed 6 fat keepers - the smallest going 19 inches and the biggest was 23 with one beautiful Seabass. We had maybe 6 throw backs, a couple skates, a couple Sea robins and a Ling a ding. Back at them tomorrow.
