A mixed weekend with half being good and the other half being unsettled. Saturday will be dry with sunny conditions and some clouds mixed in and increasing into Saturday Night. Sunday will be cloudier with some sun, as well as chances of showers and thunderstorms by afternoon and into the overnight. Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered to widely scattered, with chances below 50% right now. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80’s inland and low to mid 80’s at the shore. Overnight lows will be in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s. Humidity will increase into the weekend and then into Sunday continuing into next week. Humidity will be moderate and increase to high, as warmer and more humid air works its way into the region. Water conditions will be the same split, with good conditions on Saturday and then conditions becoming borderline to cautious in places on Sunday by the afternoon. Winds could increase to 20 knots with seas 2-4 feet inshore and 3-5 feet offshore. This is generalized, so some areas, especially inshore and in the bays and rivers, will not necessarily see seas increase. Sunday will definitely be an up in the air day, so keep this in mind. Especially, if you venture out early, as winds and seas will likely increase in the afternoon. There will also be that chance of showers or most importantly thunderstorms. Surf and beach conditions, again, will see the same split. Good conditions on Saturday with a Low Risk of Rip Currents (low does NOT mean, none) and Sunday being ok to borderline cautious as winds could increase to 20 knots and surf heights to 2-4 feet with a Moderate to even High Risk of Rip Currents. Sunday will also bring the chances of showers and thunderstorms to be aware of. Water temperatures have increased a few degrees, but still in the 70’s and some 80’s. Surf temperatures have increased into the low to more mid 70’s. UV Index will be High to Very High at 7-9/15.

High pressure in the Ohio Valley will slowly shift eastward and move off the Mid Atlantic Coast on Saturday. A cold front will approach Sunday and then dissipate as it reaches the area on Monday. High pressure should build back over the region Tuesday and Wednesday, then the next cold front approaches for Thursday.

Next week will start off with chances of showers and thunderstorms on Monday, followed by dry conditions for Tuesday and Wednesday, then chances of showers and thunderstorms for Thursday and possibly into Friday. Highs will be in the upper 80’s to low 90’s inland with low to mid 80’s at the shore. Overnight lows will be in the mid 60’s to mid 70’s. Humidity will be high most of the week as some warmer and more humid air returns. Water, surf and beach conditions will be mixed all week. Conditions will be good on Monday, then winds and seas could pick up on Tuesday, then better for Wednesday and increase again on Thursday and into Friday.

The Atlantic Tropics are still quiet.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
