Saturday we scored 3 for the box nothing to right home, all 3 between 18 and 18 1/2, tough Drift conditions and trying some new grounds of the beaten path. Sunday was a big day for us taking our grandson Nathan ( Now 3 years old) on his first fishing trip.
I wish the ocean conditions would have stayed a little nicer but he handled that south wind chop like he has been doing it for awhile. we managed to hook up a couple short fluke for Nate to reel in and he did awesome since Pop Pop has been practiceing with him for a while now.
With the south wind building Nate gave me the Thumbs up for the ride back to the inlet and it wasn't long before he was taking a little nap on the ride. We tried fishing the river for a bit but so did everyone else. We did get to wave
to Capt Joe and crew of the Irish Ayes as they came in. All and all Nates first trip went better then expected and in the years to come I'm sure I'll have another fishing partner
