11/11/07 SeaHawk bottomfishing report
« on: November 12, 2007, 12:09:53 PM »
Headed out on the SeaHawk with a fairly light crowd, about 20 fares.

Took the ride out near the mud buoy and had a pick of fish with some good spurts of heavy action. Captain and crew worked very hard and getting it together nicely TT^

Fishing was decent. Everyone had their 1 fish tog limit and quite a few could have filled or came close to the upcoming 8 fish limit increase.

Nice sized porgies in the 2-lb class and some nice knucklehead seabass as well. Even a lone bluefish found it's way into someone's cooler.

Pool fish was a 5.5lb tog.  Some internet guy caught it t^

I busted off a real nice fish. Time to stop using the 3/0 hooks and go up a size or two. That and change frayed rigs bngh

Seemed everyone onboard had a good time and everyone left with a nice sack of fillets.

A few kids onboard did pretty well with one catching some nice seabass and tog, all on rental rods. Other pics are parts of individual catches.

Looks like they put you on the fish pretty good. Can't wait for the Dec. trip TT^
